How Does Your Garden Grow

I've been talking about my Tomato Grow Op for a while and thought I should show you a photo. Here are the 42 plants in all their glory:

Tomato Grow Op

Experienced gardeners, avert your eyes. The plants may look all squished together to you - Resist the urge to advise me in my gardening ways. I have a bit of my paternal grandfather's green thumb and as a haphazard gardener, I tend to succeed, even though I really don't like gardening. The most unlikely of indoor plants tend to flourish and bloom under my care - except for geraniums. I think they know that I secretly believe them to be ugly.

My nieghbour took one look at the plants and asked, "Do you know how many tomatoes you're going to have?"

To which I responded, "The question is, do YOU?"

*swings chair around to look at blogland*

Do all of you know how many tomatoes you're going to have?

  3. Hopefully as many as I can trade for their weight in fabric? ...Of course, that would mean letting you in on my super-secret identity. Although, I'm sure Henry has probably shared that information anyway. Back to the trade negotiations!!!

  5. You can never grow too many tomatoes. That's what jars are for.

  6. As member of the haphazard gardening group your tomato plot looks fine to me... although I assume you will be staking the plants rather than using cages? Rules are for the newbie. Most long time gardeners do their own thing anyway. As for how many tomatoes I'll have in my garden. ZERO. I'm not growing any this year. As for how many tomatoes I’ll eat. TONS. I love a vine ripened tomato.

  9. I don't know why, but the tomato issue has me laughing inappropriately hard. Like, I snorted.

    I hate tomatoes.

  10. I know why I was laughing so hard. It's because you swung your chair around to look at blogland, and I've been watching this video (5 seconds long) several times a day.

I just watched it again and imagined him asking me how many tomatoes I'm going to have.

    Aaaand *snort*
