Signs That You Might Be Tired and/or Distracted

1. You pull the espresso carafe off the machine and almost pour espresso into your Shreddies instead of your coffee cup.

2. You walk to the microwave and realize you're about to nuke your Shreddies, not your coffee.

3. You bike to work and realize you forgot to pack your work pants in your backpack.

(Ok, I haven't left home yet, so I'm going to check that last one, especially since I've already done the first two.)

  1. Well...it might have been a really "new" taste sensation. Who knows what trends today's crazy kids will adopt.

Just followed your link over hear from Heather Bailey's latest post. Had to tell you I loved the story of your parents. Very precious and touching. Thanks for sharing it!

I have those days... well... everyday. Mornings are never a pleasure for me, unless they happen a little closer to afternoon :)

You have an espresso maker? I am jealous... Do you make lattes? Yum!

  4. Your American friends might not know what Shreddies are; they don't have them. For years, back when Pete ate Shreddies for breakfast every single day, he would bring two weeks' worth down every time we went to Pennsylvania to go camping (so as not to run out and have to eat some sort of paltry American cereal substitute).

Also, I think they might be sort of yummy with espresso.

    I've had days like that!
Why, just this morning I stared at the coffee maker wondering why the heck it's not holding that sweet elixer...when it occured to me that it's not ever going to work if I do not hit the "on" button.

I'm with Jodi, I think the EspreShreddies could be the next great thing.

  7. I poured orange juice in my coffee once. I made a fresh cup rather than taste to see if I'd invented a new taste sensation.

One I'm good at is carefully putting the milk away in the cupboard instead of the fridge.
