Welcome to my parade. I hope you've brought a comfortable chair. It doesn't seem very crowded on the sidewalk, so I don't think anyone will stand in front of you and block your view.
Like any good parade, let's start it off with the Grand Marshall.
My finished Flower Basket Shawl. It needs to be reblocked b/c I was impatient and didn't let it soak for 20 minutes as per the instructions.
Yarn: Misti Alpaca

Next up, we have some soft shoe dancers on a float trimmed with birthday banners:
Becca's birthday slippers.
Yarn: Brown Sheep, Lamb's Pride
Pattern: The Felted Clog pattern from Fibretrends (or, I guess, FiberTrends)
They need a second sole and a trip through the wash. They should be done tomorrow!
Oh look. There are clowns passing out candy. Get away scary clown. You're making the children cry. It's my imaginary parade, I can make clowns if I want to.
What's that coming? Oh, look, it's a float with little children and pregnant friends on it. What a cute idea!
Lots of pregnant friends at "Chez Happy". This is my second time knitting these booties.
Yarn: Berocco Suede and some fluffy Phildar stuff.
Pattern: Um, I think it was from Knitty Gritty. I can't remember now and I'm not getting up to check the pattern.
I actually have the Berocco Suede in purple and hot pink too.
What's that I hear? Christmas music?
It's a gift for my SIL's nephew. He and his parents will be spending Christmas in Nova Scotia.
Yarn: Brown Sheep Cotton Fleece
Pattern: Child's Plackett Neck pullover from Last Minute Knitted Gifts
What's that at the back of the Christmas float?
Oh, pretty. A matchy, matchy scarf for my MIL.
Yarns: Crystal Palace mohair stuff and leftover Fleece artist silk/kid blend.
Pattern: From an old issue of Vogue Knitting. The pattern itself has a mistake in it, which I'll discuss later.
Oh wow - look at that float. I think it's in the wrong parade! I think it should have been in the July 1st parade.
Well, despite the lateness of the float, it's still pretty darned nice.
Dad's birthday socks.
Yarn: Lang superwash
Pattern: My standard toe-up sock pattern with Garter rib (row 1: K2, P2. row 2: K).
Well, it seems the parade is almost over. The last marching band has gone by. Where's the guys with the shovels? I see some horse manure over there.
Wait, what's that? One last performer?
Oh, it's a project for me. Naughty girl that I am. Knitting for myself so close to Christmas.

Pattern: Elfine's Socks from Amelia Raitte's site.
Feeling the love for this pattern, but it can't be a priority right now! There is Christmas knitting to be done!
Ok this post is totally lame and not well written at all. Today I'm going to blame my lack of inspiration on the antibiotics and on cheese. Yeah. It's the cheese's fault. Don't let it tell you any different.

Cool parade! I like your chenille bedspread, I have a weakness for vintage chenille...though with my two wild boys around I can't put it out. They find pleasure in pulling the loopy parts of the chenille.
(BTW: the wild boys are 2 b&w fluffy cats)

jeez, i was going to comment on the bedspread too! I love chenille...i am duely inspired to go clean the house. im glad im not the only one who noticed the bed amongst all those fos... and I really really love that trekking colourway. feel better soon. (drink more, less cheese, watch corrie)
