I feel the same way about Freestyle. I was working for the CeeB when Freestyle was introduced. We were hearing that it was going to be a "hip" show. The first day I listened, they played Trooper, quickly followed by the Dire Straits. Hip? Quatever.
SOOO GLAD IT IS GONE!!!!!! We didn't even get the whole show in Vancouver - only an hours worth - but it was SUPER PAINFUL. Their horribly scripted banter and whiny voices. RELIEF
I missed the last show.... darn. Oh goodie, no more listening to Kelly Ryan. Hquk Phew! (sorry to spit in your comments) Actually I should confess I've been listening to Radio 2 for months and months just to avoid Freestyle. I'll have to a listen on Monday to see what changes have taken place.
Yes, but will "Q" be any better. I now have this searing mental image of Q from the Next Generation, but with Jian Gomeshi's face.
ReplyDeleteI'm with you on that one. I will not be missing Freestyle at all!
ReplyDeleteFreestyle was awful. *kicks it too the curb*
