Wow, How Did THAT Happen?

Good heavens, it's dusty in here.

*wipes desktop with sleeve*

I can't believe I haven't posted in over a month!

I'm positively ashamed of myself.  And I really don't know what the problem is.

Well, I do, but calling yourself a slacker is really just negative self-talk.  That kind of thing is frowned upon her at "A Little Bit of Happy".

I don't have any knitting photos to show you at present as I've been working on a project for Ilga Leja for a while now.

There's a not-so-funny story to go along with that project about how I knit two charts of the pattern that I wasn't supposed to and how I had to thread my needle back through lace and rip them back.  But I'll save that for the day that the pattern is published and you can see how pretty it was before I ripped it.  Of course, it's still pretty now, but it's pretty in a different way.

I haven't been doing a lot of other knitting as I decided not to knit Christmas gifts this year.  Yes, you heard me correctly - ixnay on the Christmas ittingknay!

It's quite freeing, really.  It has also led to me spending a lot of evenings with a book in my hand, or in the kitchen or...  you get the picture.

Anyhoooooo...  I hope to be around here again before the holidays.  Hopefully with some photos for you and some foolhardy New Years Resolutions - I'm pretty sure I'll break most of them before February, but I'm going to try.

In the meantime, for those of you who haven't de-listed me on Bloglines - thanks for sticking around.

I'll be back soon!

  1. Funny story eh?

Happy to see you back :)

  2. I missed you! Glad all is not lost.

I'm with you on the no knitting for Xmas bandwagon!

  3. I think a lot of us have been slack with the blogging lately. (Or maybe just me)

I did something crazy this year and decided to knit a whole sweater as a Christmas gift. I still have one week to do all the seaming and sew on the buttons.

  4. Achoo!! Boy, it is dusty in here. Knitting content is not required for blogging... Glad to see there is still life on the other side of the harbour.

Why is my word verification ‘pudgey’, what exactly is blogger implying?
