A big congratulations to Wendy, whose little monster design is on the cover of the "101 Designer One-Skein Wonders". See her blog post about it here.
Why should you all rush over there to congratulate her? Because the idea for Henry, the monster you all know and love, was inspired by her incredibly awesome knitted friends.
Here is the link to Wendy's Etsy shop if you want to rush out and buy a friend for yourself!
Henry and I are celebrating Wendy's cover photo with champagne. He's already fallen over once. The lush.
aww, thanks steph! and henry, you little goober, don't drink too much! you have to be a shining example for all the monsters to come!
ReplyDeleteOh dear lord...I shudder to think of what will come of Henry being a "shining example for all the monsters"
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a book that needs to be in my collection actually.

ReplyDeleteThanks for offering to let me hang with the KOL group if I am in the city alone for the harlot -- very sweet and knind of you! I am hoping one or 2 of my work friends will go (I have been slowing encouraging them to beicome knitting maniaca and now they knit better/faster/ more than me -- ! So I hope to have someone to hang with -- but it would be fun to meet the Knitting group I am planning to model ours after (if I ever get off my butt and try to find a location to hold our weekly knitknights) and have a cool knitting experience -- I hear it is going to be at 6 p.m. at the Lord nelson (that's good - I know where that is! and can probably get there from work without taking a whole day off).
Thanks again for the offer -- I will be in touch!
I would love to see you for some knitting! Let me know when you hit town. I work at the Clubhouse Grill at the Algonquin Golf Course.
ReplyDeleteI just realized that I haven't read any blogs since early last week!
