taking a break
Yarn: Lana Grossa cotton-wool blend of striped Campino-like happiness supplied by The Ninja's Mr. Munchkin as "feel better yarn"
Pattern: Brainylady's Cabled socks, 64 stitches
Needles: 2.5mm
Mods: Toe-up (this is the second time I've done this pattern as a toe up) and a twisted rib at the top.
I started these socks while on vacation in May. I'm horribly slow at knitting socks, mainly b/c I tend to get distracted by other projects. The second sock was started on Wednesday, June 20th and was completed on July 1st, just before I cracked open a lobster. This is record breaking sock knitting for me. I didn't work on the sock exclusively of course; I managed to knit several dishclothes, start a small sweater and another pair of socks while knitting these.
I put them on today to wear at the office and have to say, I'm in love with the cotton wool blend. It's just right for summer socks. And looking down at my feet during the day really did make me feel better.
Thanks, Mr. Munchkin! You're the best.
