I have not knit since SATURDAY! I have barely touched yarn since then!
I spent the whole day Sunday cleaning my one of the spare bedrooms in our house (don't get excited - there are only two). The company that is coming in May is my dad and his wife and their friends, E & C. The reason they are coming is that my dad and C are building a garden shed for me!!! And not just any garden shed - it's going to be 10x12 with a 2' "deck" on one end. I'm so excited!
Now it may seem early to start cleaning up for their visit, but I figure I have to make it perfect because these men are going to be busting their arses for me. There will be plenty of sucking up. They are... wait, what is that???
...Crap, American Idol is on my tv. 'scuze me.
...
Ok, then. That's gone. Phew. Sorry, I know there are people out there who love Idol, but I can't stand watching it anymore. We get a double hit in Canada because we get American Idol AND Canadian Idol. Aren't we lucky?
Alrighty then.
So to continue, no knitting. Monday night I went for my run and then I went grocery shopping and by the time I had something to eat it was 9:30pm and then I talked to RJS on the phone and then I realized that the run had wiped me out so I went to bed. I didn't even read before I went to sleep. Just took of the specs and hit the hay.
Wait a minute, what am I doing here? I'm wasting knitting time. Whoops. Ok, I'll get back to it, but I'll leave you with this:
This is the yarn I bought for my grandmother. She's one of the members of the Holy Trinity of Knitting (please see early posts - I can't waste time right now looking this reference up) and she is also the wife of "Gramps" who I wrote about the other day. Anyhoo, I figured she's probably not doing the best lately and she could use a little bit of happy made out of wool. This is Lucy Neatby's Celestial Merino. The colour is Blue Vesuvius and it is definitely not accurately represented in this photo.
Ooooh, you know there are some people I know who would kill to have both American *and* Canadian Idol. Two of my officemates apparently do nothing but watch American Idol and obsess over it all day. I'll have to taunt them with your Canadian Idol... heh!
