A-Ha! Apparently we weren't the only family to enjoy this comfort food:

I make a white sauce and throw in a can of peas (canned peas only, no frozen, they aren't mushy enough) and serve it on toast. When I'm feeling really fancy, we throw in a can of tiny shrimp.
Heh heh, tiny shrimp.
Ugh, I won't go into the details...but I think I'm off peas for the rest of this pregnancy *gags*
ReplyDeleteI LOVE green peas on toast. One of my all time favourites. I don't doctor it up - just the white sauce, Can Peas and the toast, and a hot strong cup of Tetley.
